Circus Kids

The Clown.

He made them giggle, loudly too. I'd never thought the sound of 50+ children, laughing, could be so beautiful. They were with family, and they seemed to be having a great time as well. Then something struck me...

Children.

Do we, should we all want them? We all were once, for some people it's actually hard to believe they were that tiny (pics or it didn't happen). I struggle with my thoughts around having children. I've always thought I'd love to do a Jolie-Pitt but there are so many things I'm scared of, things I'm not convinced of. Research says children do not make you happier i.e you don't have kids so you can be happy because it will go the opposite way, fast. So why then?

While sat in the Circus with the sound of laughter rising above the smell of animal urine, I began to understand a reason why. God didn't create us to make God happier, we were created to delight in this happy God, to share God's joy and bask in God's love, such delight. It's a huge responsibility but seeing all those families glowing made me want to share my love, share my joy. I was glad to have my sister with me, we had a jolly time.

Spyro: Happiness that lingers

So the first 'worldly' thing that popped into my head this morning when I woke up was Spyro! I think I have blogged about Spyro somewhere before, not sure of that.

I mean, I loved the little cheeky thing, this is one of the games where I loved almost every single character, I loved the soundtrack and the whole game environment. I didn't even know that At Game Rankingsit is one of the top twenty highest-rated PlayStation games of all time. It sure deserves that.
I clocked almost 2000 hours playing this game if not much more. Thinking about it brings joy and happiness, I can't seem to wipe the smile off my face. One thing that was great was, my siblings also loved it, and it was so much fun, just remembering the lot of us playing it, I am really grateful for what I have and what I've had. My childhood in this kind of world we live in, was pure 'luck', I appreciate it.

We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.  ~Frederick Keonig

Have a peep right here, if you have never played it, Enjoy!

Nice Start

So I decided to learn how to sew, this week..so far, I really haven't done any thing, but the week isn't over yet! hehe. I am also trying to get particular documents so I can apply for particular documents. Lots of phone calling, e-mails and what not, I'm kinda on the edge.lol. Anyways. the week started with a shine to it. I have started going to church, I really like the church my friend invited me to. I didn't take to it at first, but after a second try. It got me hooked, plus I also get to meet with some students in the afternoon and have a great bible study and food!! LOL. My uncle is even convinced I have ulterior motives involved in going, because its about fourty minutes by train to my house. Last Sunday was the last meeting for the year, so I made sure I was there. It emphasized the essence of Christianity.

After, there was a carol service at the main church. As usual, there was Handel's 'Unto us a child is born' ang  by the Choir, It does take me way back to my secondary school's music club at the carol night..More important though, was the message..which deserves a post on its own. It was preached by Rico Tice, he is an awesome, awesome preacher. He is instrumental in making me stay on at this church. When the service was over, while regretting why I left my ear-muff at home, we (I and some mates from the student fellowship) walked over to an Italian restaurant.

Food was great! Company was Great! I hadn't Laugh-Cried in ages!! I live for such nights. It was sad to leave, but mehn, I still had Fourty Minutes or more journey time to get home, and it was already 9pm. Said my bye-byes and went on. Just close to the station was a crowd and I wondered what was going on,

It was serious! took me way back to Estate days, Days spent playing chess in school. Some of all that happy go-lucky days *Sigh* With a large smile on my face, I went on my way home, Awesome Day! :)

Happy.

Leona Lewis - Happy

Someone once told me that you have to choose
What you win or lose
You can’t have everything

Don’t you take chances
You might feel the pain
Don’t you love in vain
’cause love won’t set you free

I can’t stand by the side
And watch this life pass me by
So unhappy
But safe as could be

So what if it hurts me?
So what it I break down?
So what if this world just throws me off the edge,
My feet run out of ground
I gotta find my place
I wanna hear my sound
Don’t care about all the pain in front of me
I just trying to be happy
I just wanna be happy, yeah

Holding on tightly
just can’t let go
just trying to play my role
slowly disappear

But all these days
They feel like they’re they’re same
Just different faces
different place
Get me out of here

I can’t stand by the side
Ooh, no
And watch this life pass me by
Pass me by

So what if it hurts me?
So what if i break down?
So what if this world just throws me off the edge?
my feet run out of ground
I gotta find my place
I wanna hear my sound
don’t care about all the pain in front of me
I’m just trying to be happy

Oh, happy
Oh

So any turns that I can't see
Like I'm a stranger on this road
But don't say victim
Don't say anything

So what if it hurts me?
So what if I break down?
So what if this world just throws me off the edge?
My feet run out of ground
I gotta find my place
I wanna hear my sound
Don’t care about all the pain in front of me
I just wanna be happy
Happy
I just wanna be
Oh
I just wanna be
Happy.

I need to get out of my head

Do something really mindless, but
I want to cry now, I so want to cry.
I want to go somewhere, where they won't be able to get me.
I don't want to hate my life because of them, I DO have happy memories.

Why so scared..

ooooooh, this modern love!

Anyway, This week has just been so so...so much has happened..its so much to take in really, From traveling to attend the 2-day event in shoreditch, meeting up with friends, Family, travelling to Bicester, and now back to 'Castle its been one long week. My aunty calls me World Traveller cos i even have to go back in three days time. Exhausting, i wish i was travelling first class...hehe

I have never been more tired in my life to be honest, plus my precious wonderful phone has been spoilt by Miss N, my niece. This week, i have to sort out things on the school front, house front, visa front, ball front...so many fronts i hope i can carry it all, Lord I pray for strength.

In the pockets

''I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold

I'll be fine once I get it, I'll be good''

I like this song, i really do, but nahh, i dont believe Happiness should be pursued, i mean who has actually managed to catch it. If you think you'll be fine when you get 'it' pursue on!

Someone asked me quite recently 'What are you looking for', 'Nothing' i replied. The person thought that was a very strange answer but then again considered the originator.lol. By now it's established that i don't believe in a pursuit of happiness.

Someone else argued, 'So does this mean we should live life, without goals or ambitions?' i said no, then why would we be living? We tend to forget that we don't just live for ourselves but everyone we will affect in some form. But when you transpose happiness on the goal or ambition exclusively, then you have a problem there. It is about the process, someone else would say and i'm inclined to agree to that.

Happiness is in the pockets, the little things we overlook. I know one of the happiest places to be for me, is under the shower..alone. I'm a water girl ;) (no mamiwater o) I'm not trying to pursue happiness, yes i know certain things make me happy, but i embrace what is obtainable at the moment. I don't think anyone should cheat themselves out of the life and the things they have NOW, instead of trying to pursue a mirage.

In the pockets, my dear people, in the pockets.
